Youth

Our Youth

We believe that children and young adults bring special gifts to the church. They play a very important role within Rockingham United.

Children’s Involvement During Worship - Children are welcome in all of our worship services. Families are encouraged to come to worship together, and following Time with the Children, children will go downstairs for Sunday school or youth group.

RUC Spark Sunday School - Sunday School is offered during the worship service for children from preschool up to and including grade 6 (in two age groups). We have an exciting new curriculum that is Bible-based and encourages creative play, reasoning, and lots of fun. Activities include bible stories, music, arts and crafts, drama, and games.

RUC Youth - Our youth group is open to anyone in grades 6 to 9. The Youth Group meets during worship services. Activities for 2011/12 may include: community outreach, fun evening activities, film projects, and opportunities to learn new skills. Activities may occasionally include youth from other local churches.

Infant and Child Care - A nursery full of toys is available downstairs for infants and young children. The worship service can be viewed on a television in the nursery for parents who choose to remain with their child. Childcare can also be arranged.
