Our Church Choirs
Men’s
Choir - There are approximately 20 members in the Men’s Choir. The
group is formed from men who like to sing but not necessarily read
music. The group usually sings once at month in the Sunday
service, and has joined with other men’s choir
s for special
concerts. They join
with the Senior Choir and Youth Choir to perform a Christmas Carol
Service, and with the Senior Choir for special Easter music in that
church season. Practice is
Sunday
morning from 8:45 to 9:45 am. The Choir is directed by Joan
Munro with Kathy Stone as accompanist. Men interested in joining
this choir should contact the director or the church office.
Senior
Choir - The Senior Choir is under the directorship of our church
Choir Director and Organist, Kathy Stone.
There are approximately 25 members in our Senior Choir. This
group practices on Thursday evenings
from 7-8:30 pm with a
30 minute
rehearsal on Sunday morning prior to the service. The
music performed by this group ranges from early Baroque to
contemporary. The choir not
only contributes to our worship service on Sundays but also performs
in special events both locally and outside Halifax.

Youth Choir - Our youth choir is under the direction of our church Choir Director and Organist, Kathy Stone. Practice is Thursday evenings from 6-6:45 and the choir generally sings during the worship service once a month. The choir also joins with the Senior and Men’s choir for special services and concerts throughout the year. New members are welcome to attend.
